Fierce the storms may beat around me
““Be of good cheer, be not afraid”. Matt. 14:27

Fierce the storms may beat around me
And temptations strong confound me
Still I need not fear if my Lord is near
While His loving voice I hear
None of these things shall ever move me
While I in Him abide my comfort and helper
Jesus the crucified
2.
Friends untrue may oft distress me
And the cares of life oppress me
Still I’ll trust His love for He reigns above
And my faith in Him I’ll prove
3.
Though I may not understand it
Still His precious word commands it
In the dark or light, trust by faith not sight
He will bring all things out right
