My load of guilt doth weigh me down
It has bowed down my head
O Lord, remove my stony heart
Give me a heart of flesh.

Weighned down beneath a load of sin
Death makes me sore afraid
Do wash me in Thy precious blood
And drive my fears away.

My heart cannot find peace and rest
Until I cry to Thee
Beneath the cross, to plead and say
That, “Jesus died for me”
